| The Cairngorms are unlike the rest of the Highlands, being huge, smooth and made of granite. Pevensey Guide: the Cairngorms is a large-format paperback with 110 pictures in, quite a few of them printed as big as you see them here. So this has been my most serious bit of photography so far. These pictures were all taken between September 2000 and May 2001. As a result, the book has a somewhat bleak and wintry feel, quite appropriate for these particular hills. |
